An extravaganza nite to be remembered for AIA annual dinner award 2008 on 9th Oct 2009 at Shangrila Hotel, KL.
Even though the event was held at a near closing of 2009, it was worth the wait as recipients/awardees were treated with A-star treatment. Entitled 'Bond Nite', guests were welcomed to the event floor with numerous surprises, we have emcees comparable to stars we see on TV/E-entertainment news such as host 'Ryan Seacrest' where agents walk down the aisle in RED carpet and have celebrities treatment!
On top of the star studded treatment, there was interviews conducted LIVE to cover the events filled with James Bond theme. At one point of time, three women with afro-hairdos were dancing on tables as if it was a discotheque. The pre-dinner event also provided the thrill seekers with a 'baracat' gambling chips.
In terms of the decor, this time around the ballroom was filled with rose scented environment, filled with thousands of red roses, those blooming roses were a special treat for ladies. By 7.30pm, we were allowed into the ballroom and indeed it never failed to create curousity.
By 8pm, the event started with AIA celebrities walking on the red carpet. The opening act amused the audience with a lady showering behind a curtain, our eyes can only envisioned that she was 'naked' and soon she tore the curtain and the music started thundering james bond theme.
It was a night full of 'fire' for the young and old gentlemen seated at the front row, as the pole dancers wet their appetite with all kinds of antics. at one point, the dancers were like 'orang utans' climbing the pole effortlessly, swaying their long tresses upside down serenading the young crowd.
As for our table, our team member, Janice Chern from KL Jess was elated with joy as her lucky no #1166 was the winner for RM1000 cash. She couldnt believed her eyes nor could we, when she opened a box filled with 100 ten dollar notes. Bravo Janice...! Remember to treat us yea!
To cut short, the annual dinner were indeed a night to be remembered due to the different style, decor, appealing theme that I have attended so far. I would say, this was the best in terms of preparation, decor and creative ideas in our annual dinner. Those who have not attended, be a Million Dollar Club member for free invitation. See you next year!
