Four singers strut their stuff over at Genting Highlands Resort on 10 Dec 2008. Over at the Arena of Stars, thousands of people were already queing by 7pm at the ticket gate to get the best seat.
Being of one the earliest did not dissappoint, as we managed to get front row seats at the grandstand. As we managed to 'pa wai' for the late comers from the mg-next group, all of us were sitting next to each other.
Even the guys dont want to be left out!!

as always, take lots of photos. Our Darling Queens' of Photos,(DQP's - which I call them for now) mainly all of the ladies from mg-next were over each other posing towards the camera. Anyhow, when the lights went dimmed, everyone was all bonkers over each other. MC of the night was Jeff of 98.8 FM or Ho Chiak series at Astro with a beautiful gal not familiar to me.
The night was a Wednesday and the arena was 90% full. Soon, the MC's were throwing away posters as giveaways while the thunderous crowd cheering non-stop to show their support and enthusiasm.
Finally, when they announce our local darling queen of R&B, Ning came out right at the top of the staircase. She started off with 'One Night Only' sung by Jennifer Hudson version in Dream Girls or other remakes. After a couple of songs, then followed by her most recent award winning, Awan Yang Terpilu, where the audiences sing along.
Still there are time for chit chat with the crowd, Ning was getting lots of support from the audiences, even one shouting 'You're very sexy' Another audience proclaimed his love towards Ning, while Ning responded with 'I love you too'

Then, our local male artist, Resh hit the road with a duet with Ning on 'Fire' . It was a tongue-in-cheek kinda song, as both prepared at the very last minute I guess. Since they were crooning over at each other and wanting to feel/touch at each other, Ning cheekily said ' I am married' wanting to let Resh not to simply touch here and there..... Then, the fire sparked between them as they have fun and comical sense to bring down the house with their antics .... and it sure did 'fire' ! (look at picture above)

Up next, Tanya a singaporean, with a Malay name. Jeff was joking about her name in Mandarin and introducing her being one of the finest singer/songwriter and winner of many awards in Taiwan and other countries.
Although, I have not heard of her songs, she managed to pull it off among the crowds. She did quite a number of slow folk/r&b/jazz songs. Even her solo guitar strumming managed to put the audience in amazed.
The star of the night definately belongs to Gary after winning awards at Malaysia recently. The champion not only started off with good vibe and energy, most girls and even an aunty sitting few rows behind me was shouting incessantly and hollered 'Wo Ai Ni" 'Wo Ai Ni, Chaw Ge' ....His songs were memerizing and are played in most radio today. His most comical sense was when he decided to show his softer side in My Way sang by Frank Sinatra, when he did a duet all by himself. He started with a strong low bass .....' And now, the end is near....' then he switched gear to his female octave eagerly prancing with his audience, at one time waving his hand like an aunty. The crowd loves his moves and on top of that, he never dissappoints, wanting his fans to have the best shot of him up-close, he stood at the very edge just to make sure his fans satisfy their hunger on his photos. On top of that, he managed to do a stunt so quick that if you blinked, you might not catch it.

For his fans, view my picture of Gary and you will know that he is almost FLAWLESS and has a baby smooth skin ! A guy who was once chubby and not so self concious about himself, now turned to be every girls' dream guy.
Apart on that, Gary did say something meaningful to the audience, hoping that one day when he grows old, he will still be remembered for who he is' to the applause from the crowd.

This night truly presented champion of stars and most people really gone home having good memories. The only thing upsetting was the deafening whistle blowers, almost muting my eardrum.
All in all, it was an enjoyable evening and if I were to go again to the same concert, I betcha !

When i see all tis photo, i really feel enjoy & happy. with all my dear team members together at such a good environment, is difficult to mention. Althought so many times i hav been to concert BUT tis is a VERY MEMORABLE NITE, is b'coz wit u all... Until today i still remember!!
